Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha is recognized as a not-for-profit, religious/spiritual, charitable organization in the USA, and in other countries of the New York Sector, with a worldwide mission. The mission is expressed through every dedicated member and in every activity of Ananda Marga. The non-profit, charitable, and religious designation applies to all of its activities and programs, fulfilling the purposes of the mission, including, but limited to, its departments, subsections, regions, local units, service projects, and schools.

The global or central headquarters of Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha (Central) is located at Ananda Nagar in rural West Bengal, India. The administrative central offices (Camp Office) is currently located in the city of Ranchi, in the State of Jharkhand, India. New York Sector refers to one of nine areas of the planet. It includes North America, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and the Hawaiian Islands.
